DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co. New York, C.1895, "FISHER" {woman}, swinging arm timepiece, 8-day, the movement contained within the ball at top, the entire arm swinging without apparent impulse. Note the Fisher has her right arm up to support the ball, while the Huntress has her left arm raised. This is correct.
CONDITION:
The ball appears to have had a polished nickel finish, now oxidized and with mild pitting. An old overcoating has turned a pale blue. Some oxidation on rods. The statue was repainted maybe 25 years ago, a brown color, and gold Rub'n'buff applied to edges and raised areas. Ht 25"
